Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to the questions advisors ask most before reaching out.

What kind of advisors do you work with? +

Advisors at every stage — wirehouse and bank advisors weighing independence for the first time, RIA principals evaluating a sale or succession, and teams comparing broker-dealer, hybrid, and independent models. Whether you manage $10 million or $10 billion, if you’re evaluating your options, I can help.

Why should I work with you and not a recruiter from a firm? +

A recruiter employed by a specific firm has an obvious incentive: get you to join that firm. I don’t work for any single firm — I work for you. My guidance is built around your goals, not a placement quota, so you get an honest read on whether a move, or staying put, is actually right for you.

How do you get paid? +

There is no cost to you. I am compensated by the firm you transition to, not by you — so my guidance stays focused on what’s actually the right fit, not what pays the biggest fee.

What areas in the U.S. do you work in? +

I work with advisors nationwide. Wherever you’re located, I have the relationships and market knowledge to support your search.

What firms do you work with? +

I maintain relationships with more than 150 wirehouses, independent broker-dealers, and RIAs across the country — from the largest national firms to boutique and regional players. That range means I can match you with the right fit, not just the most familiar name.

How do I start working with you? +

It starts with a simple, confidential conversation — no forms, no commitment required. From there, we’ll talk through your goals and I’ll help you understand what your options actually look like.

Can I still contact you if I’m not ready to commit to a move but I’m just curious about what options I might have? +

Absolutely. Many of my strongest relationships start this way. There’s no pressure to act — just an opportunity to stay informed on a fast-changing marketplace.

Will my search be confidential? +

Always. Your current firm, your team, and your clients never need to know you’re exploring your options unless and until you decide to move forward. Confidentiality is the foundation of how I work.

Am I obligated to move firms once the process begins? +

Never. There’s no contract and no obligation. You can pause, slow down, or walk away from the process at any point, for any reason.

Can you help me if I’ve been terminated? +

Yes. A termination doesn’t have to define your next move — in many cases, it opens the door to opportunities you may not have considered otherwise. I can help you understand your options and move forward with a plan.

Do you help advisors sell their practice? +

Yes. Whether you’re planning a near-term sale, evaluating a succession plan, or simply want to understand what your practice could be worth, I can help you think through the process and connect with the right buyers or successors.

Still have questions?

The easiest way to get answers specific to your situation is a direct, confidential conversation.
